How is coaching different from training?

Training delivers and develops knowledge. Coaching creates change. In a training session, a leader learns about a skill, technique and mindset. In coaching, a leader works through the real situations they are actually facing, like the difficult conversations, the complex decisions, the people dynamics that do not have obvious answers, and helps them to apply their knowledge so that they leave knowing what they will do differently.  In our work, we use both training and coaching.  We work alongside leaders over time to shift how they think, decide, and lead. This sustained, personalised approach ensures the changes we create are lasting.

Our leadership development programmes are structured around three dimensions that define effective leadership in service-driven organisations:

Leading Self: understanding how you show up. Managing your judgement, energy and emotions under pressure. Knowing the impact you have on the people around you, and choosing it deliberately.
Leading Others: developing the people around you. Having the difficult conversations with clarity and care. Building a team that reflects your brand, your standards and your values.
Leading the Business: understanding the commercial context. Making decisions that serve both your customers and your organisation. Becoming a leader who thinks strategically, not just operationally.

We develop leadership programmes and meet the needs of your business and reflect your values and your culture. The experience we create is centered on immersive learning where participants work on the things they most need to learn to solve the challenges they face.

How do you measure success?

We use our PSB Leadership Scorecard to assess your business needs. We set goals with you that are linked to your business staregy and aims and help you deicde how they can best be measured. We work closely with you throughout the programme to test those measures and assess progress being made. We shift and adjust the programme as necessary based on feedback and measurement of results.
