Salina Gani
Salina is a Programme Designer and Facilitator. For the last 15 years she has worked as a Learning & Development and HR professional in hospitality, retail and manufacturing. Her specialities are learning and training strategy, solutions, development and delivery, HR in practice and business partnering, and HR development. Salina has experience as an in-house practitioner as well as an external consultant which has allowed her to work in both commercial businesses along with public sector organisations. Salina has a diploma in HR Development and is an associate member of CIPD.
Salina’s recent experience includes working with the NHS on the development and delivery of a programme to address bullying and harassment within the workplace. A top down programme to spread awareness and create cultural change. This is something that all employees now attend and made an impact on their culture and communication. Working as the Head of HR in the UK and Ireland at Le Pain Quotidien, she developed an HR team and ways of working which allowed the Executive team to trust in HR and for the business to feel secure in their people practices. Managers and the HR team were developed to enable to them to be HR self-sufficient and new career paths and development were brought in place to develop a strong learning and development culture across all areas of the business. She has also worked as the Head of People at the Bread Factory. During her time there, Salina changed the perception of HR and Learning in this business by working closely with the operational teams and coaching and training HODs on people practices, leadership and development.
Salina is also a professional artist, illustrator and printmaker along with being a creative who knits and sews her own clothes. She grows all her own fruit and veg on her allotment and in her South London garden and bakes and preserves. She’s an outgoing, adventurous person who loves to travel the world, meet new people and give back through participating in many community projects and work.
