Sarah Mellor

Sarah is a Leadership Coach, Facilitator and Talent Development specialist. She loves being part of the intimate relationship between a coach and coach, supporting and challenging them in their thinking. She is an intuitive coach who is unafraid to ask hard questions balanced with an empathetic approach that leads to highly trusting relationships with her clients.

 

She has been at the forefront of developing accelerated development programmes for hundreds of leaders as well as being a trusted advisor to Boards on their approach to strategic talent.

 

Sarah has worked across both the professional services and retail sectors.  She began her career at Ernst & Young (EY), working in the field of graduate recruitment and development.  She progressed into Learning & Development and then specialised in leadership development.  She was part of the pioneering work in the firm to grow diversity and inclusion when the concept was still very new in the UK. 

 

Latterly she worked for the John Lewis Partnership, leading L&D and Talent teams across the business.  She transformed the approach to L&D and encouraged a client-focused approach.  She gained invaluable insight into both food and non-food retailing by working across both John Lewis and Waitrose.  She delivered both operational solutions in leadership development and strategic advice to both Boards on their approach to talent.  Her final role was working in the Room Y Innovation Lab considering the future of work in 2030.  Sarah now works as a freelance coach, facilitator and advisor.
